The Old Town Marina of Antalya built in the Hellenistic Period is a semi-circular natural harbour. Close to the harbour the Antalya Marine Biology Museum, the Antalya Toy Museum and an ancient theater are located. The name of the old city of Antalya is Kaleiçi, which literally means ‘inside the fortress’. Some of these walls are still standing.
Antalya, is located at the intersection of Ancient Lycia, Pamphylia, Pisidia, and Cilicia and its port was once one of the most important ones on the Anatolian south coast.
